Our focus is on our travellers
The kitchen
Moroccan cuisine offers the opportunity to create gastronomic itineraries for even the most discerning or curious diners. Dishes are crafted through a fusion of Arabic, Berber, and Andalusian recipes, using spices, fresh vegetables, and dried fruit using ancient methods.
Possibility of adapting dishes for celiac or vegetarian travellers .
Not all establishments offer alcoholic beverages . You can still buy them in supermarkets, but they're very difficult to find during Ramadan, so it might be a good idea to bring some in your suitcase.
Be careful with the Moroccan coffee, which is very good but very strong! You can ask for either espresso or caffè; espresso is very concentrated.
Tipping is appreciated, but not required.
Moroccan handicrafts
Famous throughout the world, Moroccan craftsmanship has always attracted the attention of tourists.
Carpets, fabrics, furniture and mirrors, leather objects and clothing, silver and Berber jewelry, lamps and scented oils still made by local artisans represent a unique feature of this country.
We can therefore structure a trip in search of this precious resource and, if necessary, it is advisable to bring large bags to carry home the purchases.
Recommended times to travel to Morocco
The most recommended period is from September to May , but don't worry, Morocco extends over a vast area from north to south, with beautiful mountains and beaches.
The traveler will be able to choose the period that is most suitable for him and we will organize an itinerary suited to the season .
We can decide to encounter snow in the mountains, take a seaside holiday, travel through the city or cross the desert.
Depending on the season and the itinerary, we will recommend suitable clothing .
Helpful tips
In Morocco, you can pay by credit or debit card ; cash is accepted in both Dirhams and Euros or Dollars . Currency exchange is available directly at the airport.
To use your phone, we recommend contacting your operator or purchasing a local SIM card locally, even at the airport. This option can be very advantageous in many cases, as not all carriers offer international rates, and a local SIM card costs around 20 dirhams.
Internet connections in Morocco are very good and widespread. Local bars, riads, and hotels all have Wi-Fi.
For the use of electronic devices, European or TPC sockets are available.
Clothing
Of course, clothing varies depending on the season and the itinerary. Your guide will advise you once everything has been decided.
For women in particular , any type of clothing is tolerated .
It is advisable to bring sunglasses , as the light is very strong, and a sweatshirt for possible sudden changes in temperature.
Healthcare
My sincere advice is to take out health insurance, preferably comprehensive.
Here we explain why:
- PUBLIC healthcare : this is a service available throughout the country, and is also provided to guests. Hospitals are present in all major cities, but the level of public service is not comparable to that of the most efficient Western systems.
- PRIVATE healthcare : it is widespread, highly professional and technological, but also very expensive.
- Medicines : they are found throughout the country, pharmacies are present and well-stocked.
- Endemic diseases : hepatitis and rabies
THERE ARE NO MANDATORY VACCINATIONS
